TRANS TV MONSTERS
Inspired by Gregg Arakis's 1997 "Nowhere," the final installment of his "Teen Apocalypse" trilogy, this collection reflects the films neon horror aesthetics.
Trans TV Monsters were the personifications of self-defense mechanisms suits that shield the wearer from the outside world while simultaneously exemplifying the violent visibility of queer bodies in a hetero/cisnormative space. Hiding but screaming at the same time, refusing to be silenced while protecting one’s self.
